A new product has been released for Mokkin which has been well-received among Kawai's educational toys since its release in 1976. Made from domestic wood processed and assembled by domestic craftsmen and painted with natural paints that are mainly made of natural ingredients the design makes use of the gentle texture of wood. ■Product Features 1. Materials and processing that are made entirely in Japan The products being released this time are made with a focus on purely domestic production. The wood used is maple which is also used for guitars and violins and is from Hokkaido and is carefully finished one by one by craftsmen in Japan. 2. Safety and accurate pitch because it is used by small children We also paid attention to safety so that children can use it safely from an early age. In addition to complying with the ST standard* the paint is made with natural paints derived from natural origins and the mallet is a double-ended mallet with balls on both ends for safety. In addition the use of metal fittings has been eliminated as much as possible and the only screw used to fix the soundboard is a tamper-resistant screw so it is designed to not come off easily. Kawai's toys that make sounds are made by musical instrument manufacturers so they are made with a focus on pitch. Mokkin's correct pitch also helps develop children's sensibilities. *ST standard: A standard established by the Japan Toy Association with the aim of creating toys that children can play with more safely. 3. Gentle design that makes use of the natural texture of wood. The design is available in two types a bear and a cat with adorable expressions that make use of the gentle and soft image of wood. Each one is carefully finished by a craftsman while looking at the expression of the wood.
